At first, I was sceptical, the mascara wand isn't a wand, it looks more like a medieval torture tool, or a viking war weapon.
But, despite it's odd aesthetics, I gave it a whirl.

At first it was a little awkward, for 14 years I have been applying my mascara with a wand and I have established my own routine. The new adjustment was quick and the old routine was quickly forgotten. I now have bat-worthy lashes, fellas watch out.
